18th November saw the Indian Silicon Valley's residents' worst nightmare come true, literally. For what seemed to be an eternity, traffic in the central to North Bangalore came to a standstill. Riders and drivers on their way back home, switched their vehicles off and got out to take a walk in whatever little space was left among the huge jam. The reason, my friends, is as frivolous as they come. HDK, an ambitious ex chief minister of the state held a rally for the rural mass. His press conference after the mess this caused did not contain a note of apology. Instead, he goes on to defend the rights of the rural mass, which is reall besides the matter. The inconvenience he has caused could in no mean be quantified.
I sincerely do hope such events are held outside the city henceforth. And I can only hope that certain thick-headed people realize their folly.
